36 new ambulances have been added to the National Emergency Fleet in the battle with COVID-19.They are made exclusively for Albania by TIMAK. These ambulances are equipped with 4400 liters of oxygen each, enough according to the Head of the Emergency Service, Skënder Brataj to take a patient from Konispoli to Tropoja. “A small hospital on the move,” Brataj said during the presentation of rescue vehicles inside the ambulance, adding that they would also be distributed to regional hospitals to cope with the battle with COVID.
The new fleet of ambulances, for the Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu are a great convenience for any kind of scenario that may arise in the future. One of them is the treatment and monitoring at home of patients infected by these ambulances, if there is a high number of hospitalized in COVID hospitals. “If there is a need to treat and monitor a situation in the apartment, rescue teams can provide the necessary service, this is what we have designed,” said Manastirliu, among other things, as he said that the emergency staff has doubled.
