Albania, December 2024 – Arjeta Puca, Chief Executive Officer of TIMAK, has been named one of Albania’s “Persons of the Year”, an honor celebrating individuals whose achievements have made a significant impact on the nation’s progress.
Puca earned this distinction for her pivotal role in leading the development of SHOTA, Albania’s first domestically produced armored military vehicle. This groundbreaking project showcased the country’s ability to design, manufacture, and deliver advanced defense solutions at an international standard — a milestone for Albania’s industrial and technological capabilities.
Beyond SHOTA, Puca has spearheaded TIMAK’s growth into more than 20 international markets, providing specialized vehicles such as ambulances, fire trucks, and defense equipment for both civilian and military sectors. She is also recognized for her advocacy of women’s participation in industries traditionally dominated by men, and for her commitment to strengthening domestic production.
“This recognition is a testament to what we can achieve when we believe in our own capabilities,” Puca said. “It belongs to every member of our team and to all Albanians who work every day to innovate and create.”
The “Persons of the Year” acknowledgment highlights Puca’s lasting contribution to Albania’s economic and technological advancement, as well as her role in elevating the country’s profile in global industry.
